Security badges are intended to identify, validate, and implement the appropriate security measures and features required by a company.
This is to ensure the company can monitor, control, restrict, and protect its resources. Treat it as an access control system.
Security badges can come in numerous forms, but its main purpose is to be an entry system. It is used to identify someone not only physically but digitally. It replaces numerous things like a key and an identification card.

Usually the badge has either a built-in chip or magnetic stripe that transmits information to readers, usually it’s filled with credentials. Once their identity is verified, the card reader tells the door to unlock. The company can also put a security guard for extra measures.
