What makes a content high quality?

Good content must complete its main objective, which is meeting your user’s need.  When a user searches for certain keywords on google like “how to bake a strawberry muffin”, there will be a list of webpages that appear and prioritized by ranking.  Whichever’s webpage accomplishes that goal in a manner that Google’s search engine likes will be ranked high.

High quality contents like videos and blog posts are engaging and have high retention rate.  To improve your retention rate, you should perform research on chosen keywords for your content and analyze your competitions, create content that is engaging and fulfills user’s requirements and ensure it’s readable/understandable and organized, include resources from reputable sites to raise credibility of the content, and include easy to understand graphics.

The goal of high-quality content is to have your visitors stay on your web page as long as they can and direct them to other parts of your websites by including internal links.  The internal links can be other contents that visitors may be looking for or the actual content they may be looking for.  At times, visitors might not know exactly what they are looking for and internal links should be used to fill that gap.  For example, they may have searched “how to replace tires”, but they might be looking for “how to fix tires without a certain tool”.

High quality contents should begin with comprehensive introduction, ensure content is relevant to the keyword, ensure headings and subheadings have keywords and variants, contents are simplified, and answers are in bullet points, have proper internal linking structure, have appropriate and easy to understand graphics, and should be updated as required.
