Does ergonomic mouse really work?

Using a regular mouse for too long can lead to wrist pain or swelling and potentially carpal tunnel syndrome.  This is why we have ergonomic mouse, a mouse that is designed to prevent wrist pain, allowing you to be productive for longer.  There are studies that prove that this mouse design can alleviate and reduce the chances of carpal tunnel syndrome and muscle strain.  Ergonomic mouse is vertically shaped to allow less tension on your wrist and prevent your body from getting pulled forward.

Your body’s natural form has palms on its side, whether you walk or drive.  Natural form allows for less wrist movement and less shoulder pronation.  However, with a regular mouse, our palm will face downwards instead of sideways, which tend to twist and pinch tissues due to awkward position and pulls your shoulder forward, giving you a hunched form.  This is why ergonomic mouse has a vertical design, which allows you to give your wrist a better angle like holding a steering wheel.  It alleviates not only your wrist pain but improves your sitting posture.  Ergonomic mouse fixes your shoulders from being pulled forward, thus straightening your back.
