Dae file stands for digital asset exchange and is the file format which displays a three dimensional view of a scene or an object. Graphic software like blender or maya can open and edit these files. These 3D arts are stored as mesh geometrics, which is simply just a mesh of shapes that describes the surface of a 3d model. Dae files can have multiple models, background, lightening, as well as certain effects. Dae files contain numerous information from the geometry of it all (vertices/edges), materials, textures, lights, and more.
